Phillips, 90, Homosassa, died Monday, April 14, 2008, in Lecanto. Born Feb. 11, 1918, in Sharon, Pa., to Fred and Lestie (Wagner) Phillips, he came to this area in 1993 from New Jersey. Mr. Phillips was a retired Sergeant with the U.S. Army serving during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He enjoyed his family, playing cards, dice, and the Rubik's Cube. Survivors include his wife, Dolores A. Phillips of Homosassa; two sons, Wayne Phillips of Homosassa and Drew Phillips of Homosassa Springs; three daughters, Deborah Paprzycki of Homosassa, Donna Crooks of Wellington and Darlene Johnson of St. Cloud; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and was expecting his first great-great-grandchild.
