In mid-1870, he was on his farm, at Madison Township, Lake County,with Margaret [Mitchell] Phillips. Some of her Mitchell relatives were also there. We earlier had placed him in another county, so got the wrong results. I would love to know when he first arrived in this community, where from, and if his earlier wife, and his sons, were with him. I have spotted some unknown new names in the area which need to be examined, as they could be his missing family, and descendants.
