Surnames: PHILLIPS, DEAN Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/nNABAIB/5454 Message Board Post: MARY ANN [PHILLIPS] DEAN b. 6 Nov 1790 m. 10 Nov 1811 to HEMAN DEAN (records from Canaan Congregational Church in Canaan, CT) They removed to NY in 1826 and settled in Lancaster, Erie County, NY d. 7 March 1851 (age 60) She is buried at Lancaster Rural Cemetery in Lancaster, Erie County, NY (cemetery record note: "Old Mrs. Dean died of a cancer") As a side note, whether in CT or NY other PHILLIPS are always nearby, though we have yet to make any definite connection. The names we have seen repeatedly are: SAMUEL PHILLIPS, JOEL PHILLIPS, NATHAN, WASHINGTON,PHILLIPS, REUBEN PHILLIPS, EZRA ( & wife LOVICEY "LOUISA" MARVIN) PHILLIPS and finally - ELDRIDGE PHILLIPS (his 1st wife died in 1830 m. again before Oct 1833 to JANE "Unknown" and in August 1834 he hanged himself in Mr. Denny's woods - Lancaster, NY).
