The children Maggie, Emmit, and Andrew were of Joseph's first wife, Mary HARRIS m. 6 June 1859, Nelson Co., Va. No sign of Maggie or Emmit in Maryland. The remaining children were of Eliza C. GILLESPIE, m. Nov. 20, 1870. Morris is my wife's grandfather, and it's really Maurice. Oscar, I haven't resolved. A son by the name of Archie was born either 9/1879 or 9/1880 sepending on the (secondary) source. An extensive tree is posted on Rootsweb by a cousin,'vapsmith'.
