Thanks for the note Nancy. I've never been able to trace my GGFather back to KY, all I know is the statement to the census enumerators that he was born there. Bennett and Elizabeth had five children in Linneus: James, Anne Vallie, Lidy, Thornton and my Grandfather William. I never knew any of them or their descendants because my Mother heartily disliked the Phillips family and kept us totally away from them. In fact, she gave me the name "Calvin" because she wanted me to have a non-Phillips name. She found out, unfortunately she told me when I was two or three years old that Dad's older brother, John, had the name John Calvin! I know some of the family married Stanleys, Kayes, James Brown, all around Sumner, but never got to know much about them. Would appreciate any info or help. Thanks again, Cal
