Phillips, son of Lazarus and Elvina (Robinett) Phillips. I have had the dna test and the results do not match the line descending from the Reuben Phillips of Cecil Co, MD. However I am a match to another group in the Phillips Worldwide DNA Project. The members of my group have traced lineage back to NC (Randolph & Chatham Counties), KY, and VA. I am still trying to determine the father of Lazarus. The 1850 Census of Scott County VA shows Lazerith (sp?) and Elvina Philips (one l) living with their 3 oldest children George, Theodosia (sp?) and Rosannah in VA. Lazarus' brother Irvin lived in a separate household with wife Louisa (Robinett - sister of Elvina), 3 children and 2 adults with surname Ash. Also in Irvin's household was 59 year old Delila. Her birthplace is listed as VA while Irvin and Laz are both listed as NC. Does anyone know if Delila was the mother or aunt of Lazarus and Irvin? Also, what information is available for Hiram, possible father of Lazarus.
