Jack Stewart in KS: I have been trying to find the right family for my Elijah Phillips. There seem to be several Phillips families in Preston, CT! My Elijah Phillips is said to have been born in Rhode Isaldn (??between abt. 1740 and 1757). He married Susannah Gates in 1778 in Preston, New London Co., CT. I have some information on the Gates family in Preston and earlier, since I see you are related to them, too. Any luck placing my Elijah Phillips?
