Barnes. Cynthia Phillips was my Great Aunt, my Grandmother’s sister. I know that Cynthia’s death certificate has very little information on it. It does not even have death date. But it does say she was buried on June 30, 1923 and that she is buried in Bethesda Church Cemetery even though I have not been able to find her grave. She was 20 years old when she died. Silas and Cynthia had two children. Nora Ethel Barnes was born on June 5, 1919. And Elberth Barnes was born May 23, 1921. Elberth died on Oct. 23 1975. Ethel married an unknown George. She lived in South Carolina in 1975. She may still be alive. I have never met any of the Barnes’ and would really like to met some of them or at least get a picture. Elberth lived in Fayetteville when he died. He was married with two children. Silas married again after Cynthia died and (that I am aware of) had two children. One died a f! ew months after birth and a girl married an unknown Jones. Silas F. Barnes’ parents were William H and Elvira Lamb Barnes. Silas’ gg-grandparents were William and Celia Dawson Walters. Cynthia’s parents were James Foster and Perline Gray Phillips. Cynthia’s gg-grandparents were Lewis and Barbara Britt West. They lived in North Carolina. All and any help will be welcomed.
