Hello, Are you related to William Edward Phillips(born in Wales,1769),Governor Of Penang,Malaysia from(1819-1824).Before that,he had being acting Penang Governor for nearly 6 times after absence of several Governors.He was born in Wales(1769).He married to Janet Bannerman,daughter of Col.John Alexander Bannerman,Governor of Penang from(1817-1819).William Edward Phillips resigned and went back to England and living at Dorset Square,Middlesex until 1850's. I also would like to ask you about his picture. He also built the Whiston Mansion in the next village. Whilst buidling Whitson Court, William Phillips, built the Brick House ready for his son's return to Britain from the American Colonies. However the son (also named William) never returned.
