Doug: Do you have the parents of your Bennet Phillips, and is his father possibly Thomas Phillips? Does Bennet have a sister, or cousin, named Susannah Phillips, born in early 1760s? I have a Phillips family who ended up in Pittsylvania Co. VA in that time frame, but there is a good chance they originally were from Maryland, because they are closely allied with the Sparks family from there. Thanks for any information you can send.
