The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Tenn., with the Rev. Herschel Houk officiating. Burial will be in State Line Cemetery in Madison County. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lorene Phillips of Loganville; a daughter, Mrs. Peggy Cole of Tennessee; a son, William R. Phillips of New Market; a sister, Mrs. Ermie McCormick of Huntsville; a brother, Hugh Phillips of Georgia; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
