Phillips, 83, of Concord, died Monday at the Hospice House in Concord. She was born in Wolfeboro, the daughter of Peter and Amanda (Blanchette) Grenier. She lived in Concord for most of her life. She also lived in Locke Lake Colony in Barnstead and Naples, Fla., for 10 years before returning to Concord, where she enentually lived at Presidential Oaks. She owned the Wonderland Nursery, where she was known as "Mother Hollis" to the children in her care. She also raised and showed German shepherd show dogs. Phillips enuoyed the outdoors, skiing, roller skating, painting, archery, and playing the organ and the harmonica. She also loved her dog, Winston. She was a longtime member of "Tops" in Barnstead. Survivors include a son, Roger Amadon of Loudon; a daughter, Linda Stevens of Concord; a sister, Exzelia Vallee of Belmont; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her husband, Kenneth Phillips, died previously; a daughter, Brenda Eastman, died in 1976; and four brothers and three sisters died previously. Calling hours will not be held. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the New Riverside Cemetery, Route 28, Alton. Memorial donations may be made to the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association, Hospice House, P.O. Box 1797, Concord 03302-1797. Perkins Funeral Home in Pittsfield is in charge of the arrangements. Note: I am of no relation, but my sympathies go out to those of you who are. This is here as a lasting memorial for Mrs. Phillips.
