Father was Philip Phillips and mother was Elizabeth Phillips. Pretty sure that is correct as that is what has been passed down as family history and also on John's death record from Michigan. Their place of residence on the death record was New York only. I know John married a woman named Asenath Root who according to 1880 MI census was born in Massachussetts. They lived for a time in Erie County, OH where my Ggrandmother Sarah and her brother Walter were born. I would certainly like to see if we have a connection. I live in Missouri. Where are you? Donna
