    3. The earliest date I have ever had for my GreatGrandfather Bennett S. Phillips is 1808 calculated from the age he, or someone, gave to the census enumerator in both the 1850 and 1860 census in Linn county Missouri, and that he was born in KY. I've been watching/reading the queries re "Bennet Phillips 1763" partially because I've probably read every post to the Phillips List since I started it some 15 or so years ago as well as the fact that the given name of Bennet/Bennett hasn't been mentioned half a dozen times in that period. I was on Ancestry the other day and saw some mention of the 1830 U.S. Census and decided to do a quick search. Lo and behold, up comes a "Bennett Phillips" in Rutherford county, TN! I went to the actual listing, expanded it to 200% and without much doubt, the enumerator wrote Bennett S. Philips - my GGF was always meticulous about his middle initial. Further, the household was shown as having one male 20-30 yrs, which would fit my GGF (22 yrs) another male 60-70yrs and two females, one 70-80 and one 20-30. If the head of household was as listed, Bennett S. Philips and he was the 20-30 yr old, that could have very well have been my GGF. Further, two households away was a William B. Philips, the same name given my Grandfather. I remember seeing in one of these recent posts that the Bennet born in 1763 had moved to Rutherford county and taken his family. That would make him about the age of the other male in the household. Can anyone add anything to this? Cal Phillips
