Hi, Janie, We have several participants in the project who have traced their Phillips lines back to Ireland (including Shannon Phillips, the main administrator of the project), but we do not have any Phillips men who currently live in Ireland in the project. We are attempting to recruit more participants from Ireland, but it has been slow going thus far. Europeans seem to be more nervous about DNA testing than Americans or Canadians. Oh, I can understand the Europeans' concerns. They lived under Hitler and saw how he tracked Jews and everyone else he didn't like. Imagine what he would have done with DNA! Knowing that, DNA testing still doesn't concern me (yet) because, for the moment, I think it's safe in the hands of the genealogists. I don't think they have a hidden agenda.
