    1. [PHILLIPS] Louarchey vs Luarcha
    2. Regarding Louarchey vs Luarcha, it's very common in the south to add the sound of "ie" to the end of given names. I grew up in TN, where many of my relatives came from, and my grandma call Elvis "Elvie". Any one named Elsa was called Elsie, Florence was Florie, Lula was Lulie, Olla was Ollie, and so on. In addition to phonetic spellings, mistakes are also made when names are copied. For years, I searched for a female ancestor who's first name I thought was "Eula". Well, I learned that her name was Emma, but the handwriting in the records looked like Eula.
