Thomas Henry Phillips apparently named his first born son Whitmell. Whitmell Phillips Sr was the son of Joel and Elizabeth Phillips of Wilkes Co GA. This is proven by the will of Elizabeth Phillips. In the past two years, I have become very active in the Phillips Worldwide DNA Project. DNA has now proven that Zachariah Phillips of Wilkes Co GA is a part of my Phillips family, which is shown as Family Group 8 on the Patriarchs Page and Group Results Page at this link: www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/p/phillips/index.html I would love to find a male Phillips descendant of Joel Phillips of Wilkes Co GA for DNA testing. In fact, I would be willing to pay for his DNA test. If you know anyone who qualifies, please let me know.
