With all the discussion on "William" Phillips' recently I thought to post my "William" again, hoping to find information. My "William" first appears in the 1850 Federal Census of Marion County, Alabama. He is shown in the census, as well as subsequent enumeration's, to have been born in Georgia. By the census of 1860 he and his family are living in East Carroll County, MS. The data collected in this enumeration's shows children in his household that were born in MS. Online there are a couple of entries, family tree files, stating "William" married while in MS to an Elizabeth Martin. By 1870 William and his family are living in Hill County, TX. In 1880 he has moved into Johnson County, TX. Does this look familiar to anyone? Thanks, Charlie Hinkle
