William was born in Bodmin, 1845. His wife, Eleanor ? was born 1836 in Tintagel. They had 6 children as follows:Nicholas, b. Bodmin abt 1868; William, b. Bodmin abt 1870, John, b. Padstow abt. 1872; Mary, b. Padstow abt 1876; Sarah b. Padstow abt 1878; and Thomas b. Padstow in 1880. The family operated a gasworks in Fowey around 1900.
