Arizona Daily Sun Kenneth H. Phillips 02/06/2003 Kenneth H. Phillips, 92, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at his daughter's house in Mesa. Mr. Phillips was born in Miami, Ariz., and worked in the mines until 1945 when he and his wife, Margaret, moved to Winslow. He owned and operated a construction company and built much around Winslow. After approximately 10 to 15 years he went into the Ready Mix Concrete business and operated it until 1985. He then retired and focused on his favorite hobby of wood working, specializing in clocks. He is survived by his daughters, Kay Evans of Mesa and Rita Schmidt of Mesa; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Mr. Phillips is preceeded in death by his wife, Margaret, and son-in-law Bob Evans. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 7, at 10 a.m. at the Norvel Owens Mortuary Chapel, Winslow. Burial will follow at Desertview Ceme- tery in Winslow. A recep- tion will immediately follow at the Elks Lodge #536 in Winslow.
