3. Dear Nancy Kiser, and Dear PHILLIPS List:Members: People in the message you've posted about Abraham Phillips in Rockingham County are perhaps related to my ancestors because five of the names are identical to names in my records. Abraham Phillips, Charles Phillips, Pearce Phillips, Polly [Mary] Phillips, James Phillips. Where they lived before going to Rockingham County? David Phillips is likely to be Welsh. 3. Hi, Mary Jane et al, No, I don't think the line of Abraham Philips of Rockingham Co NC is related to your Phillips line, because your DNA does not match. We have two descendants of Abraham Philips in the project, and their results are shown in Family Group 16. Unfortunately, both of these men are very private and will not allow us to post their pedigrees; however, they both descend from Abraham Philips of Rockingham Co NC. As you probably know, Mary Jane, we just received DNA results back on a proven descendant of Thomas and Isabelle Phillips of Craven Co NC, and his results matched Family Group 5, not Family Group 16. As I recall, that is your Phillips line. This is a perfect example of the helpfulness of DNA analysis. Nancy Nancy --- On Tue, 6/17/08, Mimi's Email Account <images@ix.netcom.com> wrote: From: Mimi's Email Account <images@ix.netcom.com> Subject: Re: [PHILLIPS] David Phillips b. 1755 NC married Mary SophiaHoffman b. 1764 PA To: gc-gateway@rootsweb.com, phillips@rootsweb.com Cc: "Martha Mewborn Marble" <58marble@suddenlink.net> Date: Tuesday, June 17, 2008, 3:33 PM Dear Nancy Kiser, and Dear PHILLIPS List:Members: People in the message you've posted about Abraham Phillips in Rockingham County are perhaps related to my ancestors because five of the names are identical to names in my records.
