    1. [PHILLIPS] CMN?, Capt. Levi PHILIPPS (17XX - 1825) of the Honourable East India Company's Marine Service
    2. Peter Ferreira
    3. Capt. Levi PHILIPPS was an employee of the Honourable East India Company, in the Marine Service in Bombay. In 1800, in Bombay Presidency, India, Levi PHILIPPS married Julia PAGE. They had two children (twins?) baptized in Bombay in 1803, John Lloyd PHILIPPS and Caroline Charlotte Ann PHILIPPS. Levi, later, lived in Montague Place, Cheltenham, Glos, England. He died at Carmarthen, on April 26th., 1825. John Lloyd PHILIPPS, Levi's eldest son, was subsequently a barrister at law and Registrar of the Supreme Court in Bombay, who died in Cairo in 1846. There is a possible linkage of this Levi with Surgeon Major Benjamin PHILIPPS, of my posting a few minutes ago - there are several connections, too much to be mere co-incidences. I am seeking assistance in finding the parentage and / or pedigree of Capt. Levi PHILIPPS. Can anyone out there help, please? Best wishes. Peter Ferreira Toronto, Canada.
