Yes, the same idea came to me - maybe he and the other David were cousins. Not unusual at all for names to repeat in families. I will have to pursue this further. I am not too sure if a DNA test will work since we descend through David's daughter on my maternal grandmother's side - a lot of females there. But, I will continue to do some futher investigationg.
