Could this David Phillips have been in Weakley Co, Tennessee at one time? I went through some records in the Dresden library a couple of years back and came across a David Phillips who built a mill for David Crockett (yes, the one in the same), who sued him in the Weakley Co. court about 1810-1820 for poor workmanship and choosing a poor location. I remember a Stephen Phillips also being in the area in the same time frame. I couldn't connect anything, but I am looking for a Jacob Phillips, probably a Jacob W Phillips in Graves Co, KY, not far away. Carol
