Richard Phillips and family are living in Cedar Township, Clark County, Arkansas in 1850 and 1860. Richard and his wife Mary E. were born in North Carolina. One of their sons was William H. Phillips b. abt. 1848, who married Mary Leona Davis probably in Clark County. They had children, James B. who married Alice Strouther and Nora May Lawley, Mary who married Albert Sidney Suggs, Martha Caddo who married John Green Suggs, Grace Ann who married Lem Nichols, and John Russell who married Anna Bishop.
