Bellinda, this is very interesting. It is the first time I have found a PHILLIPS/CROUCH connection in the 12-15 years since I started the Phillips list! My GGrandfather, Bennett S. PHILLIPS married Frances CROUCH in Boone county, Missouri Aug.7, 1834. He then showed up in Linn county, MO where he married Elizabeth JOHNSON in 1844. In the 1850 federal census, a boy John age 12 is in the household and I have always assumed that John was perhaps the son of Bennett and Frances. If you have any thoughts on this or information, I would appreciate hearing them.
