    1. [PHILLIPS] mystery of the Phillips, Edwards, & Kings of the Carolinas

    3. Hi, I am trying to track down more information on my great-grandparents, William Edward ("Eddie") King (born in March 1850 in Robeson County, NC) and Margret J. Edwards King (born in September 1851 in Robeson County, NC). The son of Stark and Jane King, William Edward ("Eddie") King was a farmer and carpenter. He married Margret J. Edwards on October 20, 1870 in Robeson County, North Carolina, and they had eleven children, nine of whom survived infancy, including: daughters: Dannie, Mattie E., Loula L., Mary, and Nettie Donnie (married names Neely and Riley) and sons: Larance, Lonzo ("Lonnie"), and Earnest B. King (aka Earnest Robert Cain). After the births of their older children, Margret and Eddie and their children moved from Robeson County, North Carolina to what became Dillon County, South Carolina. Eddie is probably buried somewhere in either Robeson County, North Carolina or Dillon County, South Carolina where the family moved. The daughter of Eli Edwards and Jane Phillips Edwards, Margret J. Edwards King was a homemaker and farm laborer. Like her husband, she is probably buried somewhere in either Robeson County, North Carolina or Dillon County, South Carolina where the family moved. Does anyone know when Eddie and Margret died and where they are buried? Did Eddie re-marry? I would appreciate any help, ideas, or information on the family. Thanks, Sharlotte Neely Donnelly donnelly@one.net http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/d/o/n/Sharlotte--N-Donnelly/?Welc ome=1009467061
