I've "rescued" an old photograph with the name of Mrs. Chas T. PHILLIPS on the back. The photograph was taken at the Nat W. Taylor Studio in either Spartanburg, South Carolina or Asheville, North Carolina. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with the woman in the photograph likely in her teens or 20's at the time. I am not sure if it is a photograph of Mrs. PHILLIPS or maybe of her daughter, though in addition to the name, someone has also written an address "2156 Calep St NW" on the back of the photograph. Some other faint writing on the photograph could be "Ana" or "Hana" or maybe even "Nona" just can't be sure. Based on limited research I was able to locate a PHILLIPS Family including Charles in the 1870 census records for Woodruff, SC as follows: Nancy PHILLIPS, age 44, a Farmer, born SC Perry PHILLIPS, age 19, born SC Mary PHILLIPS, age 17, born SC John PHILLIPS, age 15, born SC Marion PHILLIPS, age 12, born SC Buenah PHILLIPS, age 10, born SC Jackson PHILLIPS, age 8, born SC Charles PHILLIPS, age 5, born SC I am hoping to locate someone from the family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

Shelly My husbands family is Phillips. Charles Phillips, Perry Phillips and so on are listed in his family. I am not sure that the photo will be connected to his family but would love to see it. I do have some old photos of his family and would love to see if it matches any of them. If possible could you please email me a copy of the photo. If I find a connection I would let you know, if no connection can come of it, I will see if I can help you find is proper home.
