John and Emma were married ca. 1903 in Ky. John was born 29 Mar 1885 in Ky and died 19 Nov 1968 in Ky. Emma was born 24 Feb 1881 in Ky and died 16 May 1935 in Pendleton Co. Ky. They had at least 8 children: 1. Theodore Clyde 22 Aug 1904 Ky 2. unknown (Emma reported she had 3 children, 2 surviving on 1910 Census) 3. Viola Katherine 30 Oct 1908 Ky 4. Nannie L. 16 Mar 1911 Pendleton Co. Ky 5. Etna/Esther May 22 Oct 1913 Pendelton Co. Ky 6. John Henry 15 Mar 1916 7. Howard 5 Apr 1919 8. William L. 26 May 1923 There are more children as I recall my father-in-law, John Henry Phillips, talking about two sisters, Louise and Annie. Louise married a Woods (?) and Annie died young. This family is located on Census: 1910 Berlin, Bracken Co. Ky 1920 Milford, Bracken Co. KY 1930 Milford, Bracken Co. Ky I have yet to discover either John W. Phillips or Emma Hesler on the 1900 Census. I am helping my granddaughter discover the paternal side of her family. She gained interest through Girl Scouts! Any help appreciated!
