In approximately 1856, Benjamin moved from Bedford Co., TN to Pope Co., AR. The 1870 Census recorded him living in the Dover Township, Pope Co., AR. The names we have seen repeatedly are: SAMUEL PHILLIPS, JOEL PHILLIPS, NATHAN, WASHINGTON,PHILLIPS, REUBEN PHILLIPS, EZRA ( & wife LOVICEY "LOUISA" MARVIN) PHILLIPS and finally - ELDRIDGE PHILLIPS (his 1st wife died in 1830 m. again before Oct 1833 to JANE "Unknown" and in August 1834 he hanged himself in Mr. Denny's woods - Lancaster, NY).
