    3. What state? I am looking for info on a Nelson Phillips, born abt 1796, in Virginia; married to Elizabeth ?, and had at least 7 children (George, Labon, Elizabeth A., Ralph, Amar, Cyrus, and Simpson). Cyrus is my great great great grandfather. Nelson and Elizabeth were in Belmont, Ohio in the 1850 Census, with all seven children above listed as being born in Ohio. In 1840 Census for Belmont County, there is a Nelson Sr. age 40-50 and a Nelson Jr., age 20-30. In the 1830 Census, there are four PHILLIPS in Belmont County, Ohio--Barnet PHILLIPS, Nelson PHILLIPS, George PHILLIPS and Daniel PHILLIPS. All but Daniel are aged 30-40. Daniel is 40-50. Does any of this match with anything you have in your PHILLIPS research. With the given names of Nelson and Daniel involved, thought it was worth asking. Hope to hear from you Thank you for your time and have a great day Nancy Sagester Bishop -----Original Message----- From: lindabrewer5@aol.com [mailto:lindabrewer5@aol.com] Sent: Sunday, January 12, 2003 9:19 PM To: PHILLIPS-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [PHILLIPS] Horatio Nelson Phillips This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. It was in with some of my Grandmother Viola Morris Smiths pictures. I don't know how it ties in with our family, but I believe it would since it was in the family picture box. It was made probably in the early 1900s and their are several in the picture. The one that stands out is an old lady in a long black dress with her hair up. It is made in front of an old house. I have no idea where. All I know is some of my ancestors lived in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Texas. There are MORTONS, PERRYS, SMITHS, MORRIS', HAMS, just to name a few. If you think this might be some of your family, let me know and I will get you a copy of the picture.
