James Married a Nancy and wound up in S.C. shortly before 1800 and then went on to Miss. with his family where they can then be found. He died about 1820 in Marion Co., Miss. I sure would like to know about these Phillips who I believe to be from Mass. Jno
Has anyone seen information about any Phillips family from Massachusetts moving to Virginia in late 1600s or early 1700s? Thanks, Mary Jane Phillips-Matz
Yes, for John and Elizabeth Bridges (Ellis} They are found in Carroll County in the 1850 Census.. 1. Elizabeth A. appx.1830 Married George C. Stewart 2. Lucy apx. 1823 " John D. Stegar 1851 3. Joel apx. 1829 " Sarah A. Ross 1867 4. Sarah apx. 1840 " Petet Aron 1862 5. David apx 1836 " Mary last name unknown 6. George apx. 1844 " Mollie Ellis 1869 7. John E. apx. 1824 " Ann Garrett Henry Bridges and Elizabeth l. Robinson left Ky and went to Tenn. sometime after 1830. Children 1. James R. appx. 1820 married Elizabeth f. Moore in Tenn. 2. Mary Apx. 1827 no marriage found 3. Susan Apx 1825 no marriage found 4. John apx. 1843 there are two other children names and dates unknown. but were born in Bourbon Co. Ky. Records from 1850 Williamson Co. Tn and 1830 Census from Burbon Co. KY. There is also Brother Matthew Bridges who married Mary L. Robinson in Boone Co. Ky in 1837. Matthew and Mary apparently had no issues. Matthew Died in Louisville, Ky in 1854 was an attorney. Sister Patsy Bridges died in Paris Ky in 1833. Sister Betsy Married Joseph Biggs in 1822. KY Brother Thomas unknown Brother Neddy no proper name given, unknown Brother William married Elizabeth Phillips 1813 in KY. not in Census after 1830 for Bourbon Co. KY. unknown where to look for this family. The Ellis /Bridges family apparently all moved together to Ghent, Carroll County, KY after 1830. information on Elizabeth A. Bridges and George Stewart shows that they went to Ill. and her children married into the Brown Family. infiormation on James R. Bridges shows that he and wife went to Texas. Titus County. i believe. This my branch of the family. But i am interested in finding the other branches. My information is that the parents were John and Nancy Bridges, last name of Nancy unknown and parents of John unknown these would be helpful to me to know where this family originally came from . they were first recorded in Bourbon county in 1810 Census. John died in 1814 in Bourbon Co. KY.

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/nNABAIB/5565 Message Board Post: I am seeking information regarding Jane MUCKLE and Samuel (?) PHILLIPS, who appear to have married ca 1875-1900. According to family records and the 1870 census for Antrim County, MI, Jane was born 1859 in Canada to Andrew MUCKLE and Maria REYNARD (?). She next appears in the 1900 census for Antrim County under the name Jane PHILLIPS, with children Samuel (b May 1877), Albert (b April 1886), James (b March 1888), Sadie (b August 1890), and Walter (b May 1893). I believe there may have also been three other female children (Josephine, Maude, and Myrtle). She is listed as divorced in the 1900 census; family lore suggests she was married to Samuel Phillips. I have been unable to document this link, and would welcome any assistance that is offered. Thanks!
