I will start with Abraham Phillips Sr. (1791-1865) and his wife Mary Sheets. They had several children that I have info on. This would include 3 sons who made it to Caldwell County, Andrew, John and Abraham Jr. They each had several children. Abraham Jr. married Catherine Mayall and had four sons: Francis Marion, George Albert, Justin Grant and Leslie Ernest. They also had some daughters. I only mention the sons because you mothers birth name was Phillips and I think they may be most helpful. I have much more info on dates of birth, marriages and death dates on these and other children if you are interested. I descend from Francis Marion Phillips (1857-1942). I would be willing to give you what I have if you think my info were helpful. My grandmother (a Phillips) died in 1998 and would have likely been some sort of cousin or second cousin to your mother. She was born in Braymer in 1919. There were lots of Phillips in the area mostly related. My earlier post had my old e-mail. This post has my current email. Dewayne Perry
Good Evening Everyone... I was wondering if there was anyone that is researching the PHILLIPS in East Northumberland.. In the 1881 Census for East Northumberland, Township of Percy, there is a Josiah PHILLIPS listed as 30 yrs of age with the following in the household: Agnes PHILLIPS wife of Josiah, Reginald PHILLIPS son of Josiah, Elizabeth SPENCER (I think mother of Agnes) and Mary PHILLIPS, sister of Josiah. Can anyone give me any information on these people? Josiah is my gggrandfathers brother, and I can't seem to find anymore information on him. Also I would be interstested in any information on the son Reginald, and the sister of Josiah. Mary.. I know that Mary was not married until after Nov. of 1881, as she was at her brothers (my ggrandfather) 2nd wedding. She was however married before 1929, as she returned to michigan for my ggrandfathers funeral. Any information would be greatly appreciated.. Have a great week. George was born 1917, but his birth was not registered till 1919. Henry and Eliza were married some time in that period. I am not sure if Brian was older or younger than George. George didn't get along with his father, who was dead by 1944, when George married my grandmother Joan Redfearn. George died in May 1953 of TB. My father can remember Eliza coming to visit him at his home in Chingford, I think it was in Normanshire Drive. Are there any of Brian's relatives out there who remember Eliza? Henry Phillips was apparently "one for the ladies" and supposedly had children outside the marriage.

Obituary in today's Santa Cruz (CA) Sentinel: Walter Dean Phillips (April 15, 1953 - March 12, 2003) Dean was loved and survived by cousins: Evan and Rochelle Gadsby and their children; Shannon & Kraig of Santa Cruz; George and Margaret of Alameda; sisters: Sara & Paul Brady; Joyce & Paul Fort; niece Linda Bailey and her children, Ray & Corrina; nephew: Randy Brady, all of Bakersfield, CA. Reason I'm sending this is that he seems to be the *end of the line* for his branch of the family tree -- no sons or daughters -- may be of help to someone.
