Hi, I was hoping maybe you would have some information on a Phillips line I am looking for. This Phillips line was from Robeson and Bladen County, North Carolina. I am looking for a Caswell Phillips who married Exie Ann West. Exie Ann was the daughter of Lewis and Barbara Britt West. And Caswell was the son of Jordan Phillips. I know that Caswell fought in the Civil War and was injured. I know that they had about 7 or more kids. My Great-Grandfather James Foster Phillips was one of them. Susan was probably born in Brownwood, Brown County, Texas and they lived there as well as Fayette County after their marriage. William operated a saw and flour mill in the area, but I don't know the exact location. He sold the mill and the family moved to Otero County, New Mexico where he purchased a portable mill that he moved to wherever the job was. I would like any information regarding the family or the mill, especially where it might have been located in Texas. I don't know if he advertised in the local newspapers or how well known his operation was. Any information at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
