Hi everyone, Could anyone tell me if the 1891 Census is out for the Northumberland area of Canada? I am trying to see if Josiah and Agnes Phillips had any other children besides Reginald.. I have a copy of the 1881 Census for Northumberland, Percy County and it shows Josiah, Agnes, Reginald (age 1) and Elizabeth Spencer.. I would greatly appreciate any response about the census.. Thank you in advance.. Ronye Gleason researching: PHILLIPS, HESS, ROBERTS, SPENCER, KETCHUM

Thanks, Evelyn > You might try the 1881 British Census at: http://www.familysearch.org For example, looking for a large Phillips family from Russia finds the following: Household: Name Rel Mar Gender Age Birthplace Occupation Moses PHILLIPS Head M Male 45 Russia Tailor Mary PHILLIPS Wife M Female 40 Russia Joseph PHILLIPS Son U Male 20 Russia Machinist Lewis PHILLIPS Son U Male 17 Russia Machinist Joseph PHILLIPS Son Male 12 London, Middlesex, England Scholar Pinkus PHILLIPS Son Male 8 London, Middlesex, England Scholar Abraham PHILLIPS Son Male 5 London, Middlesex, England Solomon PHILLIPS Son Male 3 London, Middlesex, England Sarah PHILLIPS Daur Female 2 w London, Middlesex, England Source Information: Dwelling 1 Finch St Census Place London, Middlesex, England Family History Library Film 1341095 Public Records Office Reference RG11 Piece / Folio 0439 / 100 Page Number 12 If you don't know the last name, then if either your grandfather's first name or the first name of one of his siblings is fairly rare then you can look for that. For example there are only 4 people named Pinkus in the 1881 British census: 1. Pinkus TAVRIGER - 1881 British Census / Lancashire 2. Pinkus MOSES - 1881 British Census / Middlesex 3. Pinkus PHILLIPS - 1881 British Census / Middlesex 4. Pinkus KALISHER - 1881 British Census / Middlesex Regards, Herb Savage
