I need additional information on James S. PHILLIPS who married Nancy Eleanor TURNER in 1880 in Cooke Co. TX. He was a widower with 2 children, Rachel and Calvin, when they married and they had at least 3 more children, William, Joseph and Julia. He was the son of Calvin PHILLIPS and Rachael REDDICK. James, his parents and his siblings all moved from AR to TX ca 1875. I'd like to know his first wife's name and when they married. He died in Comanche Co. TX in 1917 and I'd also like to know where he was between 1880 and 1917. Thanks, Jan

She was showing him a picture album of his family, when Ken saw a familiar face. "Who's this" he asked the cute young thing. "Oh, that's my uncle Charley", she says. "Oh no", he says, that's my grandfather. Of all the millions of people in the San Franciso Bay area, he managed to find the granddaughter of his uncle.

How do you know that and where did that information come from? (Ripley,s information on this 1772 George Phillips is incorrect.)Thanks Neil

St. Clair Co, AL is a possibility. All of my information points to Chambers Co, AL. But then again, I don't have much information. His daughter (my great great grandmother), Eleanor Belle Phillips was born Oct 3, 1879, place unknown. She was adopted Oct 31, 1884 in Chambers Co, AL. She married on Sept 16, 1900 in Chambers AL and died on Feb 4, 1919 in Chambers AL. Does any of this ring a bell or match with your Thomas Carroll Phillips? I'd love to hear from you if so. Jeanna

Supposedly both Philip and Elizabeth were born in NY, but that is not certain. I do not know if they had other children. They were farmers as far as I know. Would be great if we could make connections. Hope you continue to feel better. Donna
