Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/nNABAIB/5608.1.1.1.1.3 Message Board Post: Lois, I have not verified that Thomas Phillips' middle name was Fretwell-at least not my Thomas. I also have not verified that he was descandant from Rev. George of Mass. I am in the process of verifing that he came from New Jersey and will see how far that goes back. I do have all his descandants from the 1760 to present-I think. Your information on Henry Phillips and William Moore is what I have so far. I do have more to that line also. I will do more reserach in the fall-too many Reunions to go to now. Please keep in touch-relatives are scattered all over country. Sandra

    3. After four years, I've gotten some great information. Some may recognize the name Ruby Catherine Phillips from my previous posts. She is my mother, born Nov. 24, 1911 in Braymer (Caldwell Co., Missouri). I was able to get her parents' information from the Children's Home Society of Missouri (available on adoptions prior to 1918, which her's was) -- so, anyone make any connections with this set of parents? -- they were not and as far as I know were never married: Mother: Lola B. Phillips (14 years, 4 months old at the time of my mother's birth) Father: Philo Orem (whose mother's name may have been Emma, as an Emma Orem 'co-signed' the papers for surrendering of the baby to the Children's Home Society in 1912. Looking forward to hearing more about this side of my family that, for 65 years, has just been a mystery! Thanks, Richard Tennesen, Capitola, CA

    2. Lee Todorovich
    3. I have posted before without any luck but thought I would try again - maybe by now someone has come across my Phillips family. I am looking for the family of a John Henry Phillips who was born about 1850. He lived in Louisville, KY in 1863 when he joined a MI civil war unit that was in that area at the time. He was 13 and enrolled as a musician. He was in the unit two years and discharged in KY. Unfortunately his civil war records are not complete and give me no information on his family. I think his family may have come from TN. According to family stories - his father was killed at Manassas and his mother died shortly after he joined the MI unit. There were two other siblings - Andrew (b: 1855) and Sarah (b:abt 1853). I do not know who their parents were or where they came from. Any help, ideas, suggestions, thoughts, etc. would be appreciated. This family has been my brick wall for years! Thanks, Lee
