Carl, I have the results for my Y-DNA and mt-DNA. I am not sure what they mean yet. All I know is the "Y" should tell me about my Rogers and the mt should tell me about my mother to mother to mother etc. I don't know if my results will mean anything in the Phillips even thought my ggrdmother was Mary Jane Phillips. I have tried to get my Phillips cousins to do their DNA but no luck so far. Should I still contact Shannon Phillips? Hi My name is Dan PHILLIPS. My GGGrandfather was Elijah PHILLIPS ( born 1796 in SC ). This PHILLIPS family has friends and some intermarriages with the STRINGFELLOWS, also from SC. They all moved to GA. Elijah married a girl named Rebecca PHILLPS from Morgan County, GA. Does any of this sound familiar? I am searching for any info on my ggggrandfather, Abraham Phillips. His son, William Henry was born in Canada, on April 27, 1954 in Dresden. (that date is according to my gggrandmothers Declaration of Intent Papers, although on the 1882 Census of Michigan, Williams info appears to put it at 1856 or 57. He states that his father Abraham came from Scottland and his mother Nancy Baring came from Ireland. I have William and Charlotte Millers marriage info (married 18 Dec 1877 at Wallaceburg, which gives parents names, but can not find anything on Abraham or Nancy. I've concentrated my search in Canada, but perhaps they settled in the U.S. before going to Canada, where William was born. William and Charlotte came to the U.S. (Mich) in 1880 at Lapeer, with my ggrandfather, Peter William who was an infant. Does anyone think these names sound familiar, or have any ideas on search options? Thanks! in advance.

That would be one of their daughter's and the sister of William Suell Phillips who was killed in 1914 going to California to get a job, he was killed on a train somewhere near Missouri cause that is where they took his body off the train and buried him. We are thinking his parents were Charley and Polly Phillips from the Overton,County area of Tn. If you have or think that these people of mine might be some of your Phillips please email at my email addy which is [email protected] and put Phillips in the subject line so i want delete the email. If they do not fit into your line then i want bother you again ok. BettyParsleyByrd
