Hello A few weeks ago, there were several inquiries regarding a Catherine Phelan. However, I didn't save those messages, and I have since stumbled across a Catherine Phelan of Youngstown, Mahoning County, Ohio. With info from her obituary and other sources, here is what is known: Born between 1843-1846 in Tipperary, came to American at age 7 with her father, settling at the Summit, in Allegeheny mountains. She married Daniel Peebles in New Castle, Pennsylvania before 1864, and had three children born in Pennsylvania. The family moved to Youngstown from Sharon, Pennsylvania. Four children survive, along with one sister, Mrs. P. J. Starr of the Youngstown area, and one brother, John Phelan of Scottdale, Pennsylvania. A very nice picture is included in the obituary.
