Sorry but don't know much more. Evidently this John came over in 1793. He was married to Priscilla Oakes Ford of Boston. Somewhere I've got some ship records showing some Phelans coming over in early 1800s. Right now I'm going through all my Phelan records as I'm putting them on FTM (my wonderful, sweet hubby accidently deleted my whole FTM files) AGAIN!!! so will let the list know when I run across them again. When I first started the list many, many moons ago, I put just about all the info I had on the list. You might want to check the Phelan archives and reread some of those e-mails. Chris in Sacromento might be able to help you on the James D. Phelan line. I don't believe it's her line but being from that area she might have seen some research on him. Good luck.
