Any unsubscribe or subscribe request to any Rootsweb.com sponsored mailing list must go to a different address than the regular mailing list address. It should always go to (the name of the mailing list-L-request@rootsweb.com) or in our case Phelan-L-request@rootsweb.com. OR if you're subscribed in the digest mode, the address would be "name of the mailing list-D-request@rootsweb.com or in our case Phelan-D-request@rootsweb.com. And then in the body of the message put only the appropriate word of subscribe or unsubscribe. If you do not receive the automated message acknowledging your request, then your request was not properly completed.
