Glenda Source: NYBROOKLYN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [Bklyn] Brooklyn Daily Standard Union/25 March 1905 Brooklyn Daily Standard Union OBITUARY 25 March 1905 JOSEPH WHALEN Joseph WHALEN died at his home, 57 Herbert street, on Thursday, after a short illness. He was 29 years old, and had lived in the Eastern District all his life. When the Spanish war broke out he went to the front with the Forty-seventh Regiment, in which he was a corporal. He was a member of the Jefferson Democratic Club and the "Doc" Travers Association. The funeral will be held to-morrow from St. Cecelia's Church, North Henry and Herbert streets. Interment will be made at Calvary Cemetery. GLINNEN Brothers, of North Henry street, are the undertakers in charge.
