Eva, I have a James Monroe Phelan b. 1824 in Bledsoe Co., TN but married to a Rachael Brown in 1848 in Union co., IL. which is in the Southern tip of Illinois. Looks like Henry Co is northwest and close to Iowa. What year was your James born? Any relatives come with him from Ireland?
