For the new members just joining us, you can search the Phelan Mailing List Archives for prior messages by going to http://searches2.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl . You'll have to put in the surname Phelan at 2 different places but keep going and you can get back to the 1998 archives when the list first started. I've been researching for about 20 years and copied everything I could find on the surname even though I couldn't connect it to my line at the time.
