    3. Carol, the one mentioned happened to be a man. I've been searching for a male, Frances M. Phelan b. TN approx 1820-1830 for quite some time. He's brother to my James monroe Phelan. Frances was in Oregon in 1864 and I've been looking in all the western states for awhile trying to find him.
