Phelan ( married Catherine Newman , daughter of William Newman, Waterford Ireland ) emigrated to US from Ireland via Toronto about 1840. House of Sanilac county ) born Michigan Married 2d time Amos Barbour 1874 Sanilac county , Mich son John Barbour daughter Catherine Laura Barbour ( married John Bertram 1895 ) Married 3d time Terrence Callaghan Sanilac county, Mich 1882 2 children died in infancy died Oct 8 1906 , Detroit Mich -Richard Phelan born 1850 -James Phelan, born Nov 1857 popular judge of Detroit Recorders Court , 1899-1915. -Jane Phelan, born 1853 -Josephine "Johanna" Phelan, born Dec 1858 -Marie Phelan, death 1863 -Ada Phelan, born circa 1860? married to Mr. Grams, Milan , Mich.
