Infantry</A>                     Seventy-nineth Pennsylvania Cavalry Regiment "The Seventy-ninth Regiment of Pennsylvania, of which one company was raised in Washington County (designated as "D" Company), and all the remainder of the command in Lancaster, was recruited ( MI, muster in) in August and September, 1861, and organized in the early part of the following month..." Muster out (MO) with company date will be July 12, 1865, unless otherwise noted. William Phelan, MI September 10, 1864; died at Chattanooga, Tn., October 19,1864; buried in National Cemetery, grave #11.

    3. Does anyone on list recognize the e-mail address of [email protected] It appears that their server is unknown and their subscribe message is being sent back to me as undeliverable. I've tried to contact them directly but my message also returned. Either they typed their address in wrong when they tried to subscribe or we have another problem that being a new list owner I don't understand, so if anyone recognizes this person, will you please send me their correct address or advise them directly to let me know and I'll try to find out problem.
