Just want to thank you for posting it. My grandfather came from near Neustadt to the US in July of 1869 on the SS Paraguay. The diary entry gives an idea of what it might have been like for my grandfather. I also now know that there is a Phalz list, which I was not aware of. Perhaps I can now get more information. Thanks for sharing. You just never know where the next tidbit will come from!
