Greetings, fellow Pfalz researchers! I'm leaving soon (May 2) for a trip to Germany; it will include a trip to the Speyer Archives to research some records from the Pfalz. I have already made my appointment, and my lovely German friends have agreed to escort me and translate for me. However, I have learned that the records for Bad Kreuznach are NOT in Speyer. A closer look at the map reveals that Bad Kreuznach is technically not in Rheinpfalz, but in NiederRhein. (I looked at this map: http://www.schleswig-online.de/laninger/Pfalz1818.htm) Does anyone on this list know if the Bad Kreuznach church or civil records (I'm looking for the period 1775-1850 which is NOT on FHL microfilm) would be in B.K. or would they be somewhere else? Is there another list I should be subscribed to for B.K.? :-( Any help you can provide is very much appreciated.
