I am searching to clarify some information I have on my 6x great-grandfather. In a book written about his lineage (in German) it says about him: Kurkoln Geheimrat - Gesandter at the Court of Phalz-Zweibruken which I think translates roughly that he was an Elector (elected official) or Ambassador at the Court of Phalz-Zweibruken. Does anyone know what this Court of Pfalz-Zweibruken is - or what this position means at that time in history? This is for Giuseppe Maria v.Fumetti (1670-1730) and I think refers to a time after 1696 which is about the time he emigrated from Italy to Germany. Thank you for any help you are able to offer!
